In November, eKitabu Rwanda team in partnership with Kigali Public Library held a Book Talk session with children participating in reading Munyu na Sukari storybook by Ndahayo Ferdinand. The storybook is about Salt and Sugar who met one day at the table. Each believes that they taste better than the other but they all have a unique taste.
"What a wonderful moment. All parents can create time and every opportunity to support their children to improve a culture of reading." Umuhoza Mariam, a parent who brought her son to enjoy the book talk session.
eKitabu Book Talk creates community by enhancing the existing reading culture, and local country teams host book reading sessions where authors connect with an audience that is both special needs and mainstream learners through an online platform or in-person sessions. During the book talk event, eKitabu supports a joint book reading and authors share their journey in writing, and they engage and interact with the audience.
