Dear Friends,On 3rd December, eKitabu joined the Sol Kids Africa festival at the Hub in Karen, Nairobi with our friends from East African Educational Publishers, publisher of Super Lisu by Yolanda Chakava, and Polycarp Otieno and Melissa Wakhu, authors of Lala Land.

“It was an absolute joy to create a warm, inviting environment that enabled families to bond over games, books, stories and music. Family is the heart of a nation. Using our African heritage, sounds, identity, and culture, we had a successful Sol Kids festival that created lifetime memories for all who engaged in it, including children with and without disabilities.” Melissa Wakhu, CEO, Sol Kids Africa.

Sol Kids Africa nurtures a generation of children who understand, appreciate, and celebrate the privilege of being African through books, art, music, and dance to raise a reading community using high-quality content that is accessible to all children. It was founded in March 2022 by Sauti Sol, one of Africa's leading musical groups. As we end 2022, I wish you, your families, friends and colleagues a peaceful end to this year and bright new beginnings in 2023.

Warmest regards,

Will
